The plots and research of these books are compelling but the actually books aren't. I should have learned from the King's Deception that the plot and denouement are better than the book itself. However, because I absolutely loved the Templar Legacy, I thought King's Deception was just a one-time miss. However, the books seem to be getting progressively worse. I stopped reading at page 180 and read the writer's note at the end because I realized I liked the real history much better than the fiction, pages and pages of fiction, used to reveal it. The research is awesome but I want a better book from it.
